This site is opened to researchers and educators carrying studies on educational alternatives to mainstream practices of education and schooling : historical studies as well as researches on currently operating schools .

The aim of this site is to build up a research network (academics, practictioners and anyone interested)  in order to facilitate exchanges and discussions.  It is also expected to support a wider dissemination of research studies on these subjects.

This project started in 2011 after a seminar initiated by 
Marie-Anne HUGON (Educational studies,  Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, member of Crise, école, terrains sensibles)
and Marie-Laure VIAUD (Educational Studies, Université d'Artois, member of RECIFES).
